The third story of the anthology short story series “A song from the laundry room” is titled “The elderly couple, some boats, waiting for sun comes out”.
This story structures 11 images that records a side of life like drinking coffee on a terrace on the chilly winter day, wrapped in the wool.

Krampenberg, a northern suburb of Copenhagen.
A deep fog blanketed the surroundings in the morning hours in late August.
The elderly couple sitting on a bench, some boats, indistinct landscapes, the wind blowing and feeling touches on the water.
We all waited for the sun to come out at the place where 'weekend' still existed.
We walked through the town and came back to the beach.

Yet sun was still behind the fog, The elderly couple was still on the bench.
This is a slice of our life, like drinking coffee on a terrace on the chilly winter day, wrapped in the wool.

短編アンソロジーのシリーズ「A song from the laundry room」三作目のストーリーのタイトルは「The elderly couple, some boats, waiting for sun comes out」です。
このシリーズは、11枚の写真で構成されています。

深い霧が8月の終わりのKlampenborgの朝を覆っていた。
歳を重ねたカップルが海を眺めてベンチに座っている、海には何隻かのボートが浮かび、白く濁ったような曖昧な風景。風は水面を撫でて感じるかのように吹いている。
まだ、Weekendという言葉が存在するその場所では、ぼくたちを含めたそれら全てが太陽が顔を出すのを待っているようだった。

街を散策し、またビーチに戻った。歳を重ねたカップルはまだそこで白く濁った海を眺めていた。
これもまた人生の一つのスライスなのだろう。真冬のテラスに座り、ウールのブランケットに包まれてコーヒーを飲むかのような。

A song from the laundry room

“A song from the laundry room” is my latest anthology short story series which seems it doesn’t make any sense for someone else. However, I personally have it as a small treasure of my life.
The title of the series “A song from the laundry room” is named after the sentence from Brazilian author Clarice Lispector’s novel.
